End of Week 4

This week started off rough, I was having trouble controling what I was eating. Then, at the end of the week, it completely flipped and I didn't want to eat anymore. Weird stuff. I lost quite a bit of weight this week which I am not going to complain about but I have a feeling, next week with be a lot harder.

Here is my summery for the week:

At the beginning I was at 259.2, last week I was 251 and this morning my weight was 243.6 for a weight loss of 7.4 for the week 15.6 pounds total! :)This week I began to notice that I could see a difference in my body and I feel different.... maybe even sexier. ;)

Week 4, Day 7

Although I didn't eat much yesterday, I still wanted to write more than I wanted to eat today so, I ate very little. I know it's not healthy but it's not going to be an everyday thing. :)

End of Week 3

You are probably wondering where day's 5, 6 and 7 went. I didn't even keep track of my calories. I decided when we got to the hotel that I was going to enjoy the weekend. I still limited the junk that I ate but defiantely didn't eat as well as I should have. It was a weekend of splurging and it was wonderful! I was very happily surprised to see that I still lost a little bit. I think that the lack of calories the beginning of the week probably helped that. Plus every night I would swim laps in the pool for an hour. Now that I am home, I am trying to get back into the routine and it's actually not going to bad, but that is for a post later in the day.

Here is my summery for the week:

At the beginning I was at 259.2, last week I was 252.8 and this morning my weight was 251 for a weight loss of 1.8 for the week 8.2 pounds total! :) I am noticing that I am feeling better about myself and my clothes are fitting better.

Week 3, Day 2

End of Week 2

This week went well. I did have one mess up day but I am proud of how I did and lost weight so that is good enough for me. The kids were sick tward the end of the week so things got a little stressful and, even as I write this, my daughter is standing at the gate screaming for me to pick her up. She's back to feeling normal but I think she got a little spoiled with all the cuddling when she was sick. It's going to take a little while to break her of that. I love cuddling with her but she needs to be independant too.

I also started (as of today) NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writers Month) and have challenged myself to write a novel (50,000 words in one month.... so far I have 725 so hopefully I am not putting too much on my plate. I hope I can do it! :)

Anyway, here is my summary for the week.

At the beginning I was at 259.2, last week I was 256.2 and this morning my weight was 252.8 for a weight loss of 3.4 for the week 6.4 pounds total! :)

Week 2, Day 7

Last day of the week so I figured I had better behave myself. I ended up coming in approx. 687 calories under budget and was able to go for a nice long walk. I walked about 2 miles and it felt WONDERFUL!

Week 2, Day 3

I am freezing right now so please excuse any typos! :P It is definately starting to feel like autumn here and I am getting tired of being cooped up in the house. I am ready for the wind to die down so that I can get outside again.

Diet-wise, I did pretty well today. I tried making my first batch of Chili.... definately a good day for it as cold as it is!!!! The chili turned out alright..... not as good as what my mom used to make but hopefully someday I can perfect it. I think it needed more spices. It was pretty bland. BUT, it was ok and edible. I will probably be eating leftovers now for a few days.... :)

I am tempted to indulge a bit since I have screwed up so much already but I WILL NOT GIVE IN!!! :P I did get some walking in with the kids in the stroller today so that makes me feel a little better....

Week 1, Day 3

I forgot to post this yesterday. :) I am proud of how my diet is going, I just hope that I can keep up this momentum. I hate when you get a month or two into your diet and then lose steam and start screwing up. UGH! I am hoping this blog will help me not do that and keep me honest.

I guess I haven't mentioned how I choose what I eat.... it's pretty simple, I am using an app on my ipod called "Lose It!" where I entered my height, weight, age and how much I want to lose and it tells me how many calories I can have. Then whenever I eat, I enter what it was and how many calories on there and it calculates how many I can still eat for the day. You also enter in any exercise or activities you do. It's pretty simple. My current calorie budget (it changes weekly...) is 1,865 but so far, I have been coming in way under that. I am averaging aroung 1,500 calories a day so I'm doing pretty well and have, as of this morning, lost 2 pounds already!! :)

Anyway, here is what I ate yesterday, I did not get any real exercise in although I did take the kids shopping and that in itself is a workout. :P

I also discovered this morning that I have already lost some weight. :) I hope it keeps up all week!! LOL! :)

Week 1, Day 1

I am realitively proud of myself for how well I did. It has been ROUGH! I want to eat everything in sight but, I restrained myself and whenever I wanted to boredom eat, I grabbed a bottle of water.... that helped some.... :P So, here is a summery of my day...

I also was able to do a 35 minute workout and a lot of cleaning this afternoon/evening. It wasn't a perfect day but I am proud of how well it went.

The beginning....

Today I offically start my much needed diet. I am going to be counting calories and excersizing and will post about my daily triumphs and failures here. I know that it is going to be hard but I am tired of being in this body. I hate that I don't like to have my pictures taken with my kids. I find it embarassing.

I am the wife of a farmer and the mother to 18 month old twins so I stay pretty busy. I know that most of the time my meal choices are not the best and when I get time to myself, I tend to use it sitting at the computer. Today that changes though.

My goal is to go from 259.2 lb to the 170-180 lb range. Right now I would be happy to drop from a size 22 pant down to an 18 so I can at least wear my pre-pregnancy pants.
